Book Review: Phat’s Chance by Virginia Arthur

If you like Coen brothers movies, or even, dare I say it? – Imagine a more sophisticated version of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (I loved that film when it came out!), then you will enjoy ‘Phat’s Chance’ I am sure of that. This book has the wow factor – an uncle with a catchphrase and a nickname goes on a road trip in his classic American car with his favourite nephew, Galen. The story and the writing has all the ingredients for a Coen Brothers film. It has that kind of early 90s quirkiness that makes it so endearing.

Page turner rating 5/5

Three word review : Nineties, journey, buddhism.
