Look, there’s a photo of me driving my mobility scooter! Thank you for visiting me here on my blog, Samantha Henthorn Finds The Right Words. I live happily in Bury near Manchester UK with my fabulous husband and wonderfully gorgeous grownup daughter, two cats and one dog. I have been writing full time since 2014, I write every day, I read every day, so we more than likely have loads in common.

I currently have six books available on Amazon (Download and paperback), ‘1962’, ‘Piccalilly’, ‘Quirky Tales to Make Your Day’. And The ‘Curmudgeon Avenue Series’ (currently on book three). I enjoyed writing them, you will enjoy reading them, promise!

My credentials are, I used to be a registered mental health nurse, but had to accept early retirement due to my health. I participated in a two year creative writing course at a local library. I am part way through a Creative Writing and English Literature degree.

I write three types of posts;

  1. Fiction written by myself, from a few words to a short story, accompanied by one of my own photographs or sketches. Currently serialising book one of the Terraced House Diaries (Book one of Curmudgeon Avenue)
  2. Ramblings and amusing observations about life and writing in my monthly ‘writerly’ post. I tend not to write anything serious, but admire those that do.
  3. Book reviews, although my priority is writing my next novel, and/or short story collection, if I read something and enjoy it I will share it. However, if I have nothing useful to say, then I won’t say anything at all. I am not a professional reviewer, and only read what I want to read.
